We are thrilled to announce the opening of our brand new Berlin studio and bookstore exclusively dedicated to MACK titles, in collaboration with Bildband Berlin. The opening marks our renewed dedication to Germany as the vanguard of contemporary artbook publishing, having spent years working with pioneering Germany-based artists and using German printers and binders to produce a large portion of our books. We are programming an ongoing series of events and exhibitions for the space, beginning with the exhibition 'i saw the air fly’ which opened on 26th August as part of Berlin Photo Week. The Berlin studio will be our base for the expansion of our editorial work in Europe.
This marks the next chapter in our European operations, having also recently opened a new design + production studio in Udine to facilitate our continuing book production in Italy, our collaboration with many of the incredible institutions nearby, and reinforcing our commitment to the remarkable roster of Italian artists we work with.
All these developments are planned to support our most ambitious publishing programme to date, which includes the launch of an architecture list in 2022, a new series of essay books that delve into untold histories of art and photography, and a series of zines that allow for a mode of publishing rooted in accessibility, directness and community.
Thanks for your interest and support.
