In Mohsen Mostafavi's The Color Black: Antinomies of a Color in Architecture and Art, he unpacks the importance of the colour black for thinking about architecture, contextualising this exploration within art history and the thought of Marxist German art historian Max Raphael. To mark the book’s release Mostafavi will be in conversation with influential Swiss architect Peter Märkli, whose musings on colour and architecture form a key part of the book's narrative. Their conversation will be moderated by Ingrid Schroder, Director of the Architectural Association School of Architecture.
